Christoph Fisser, the accomplished German film producer born in 1960, has recently teamed up with Sebastian Fruner and Konstantin Mayer to establish »Traumfabrik Babelsberg.« Fisser, until recently Vice-President/ COO of Studio Babelsberg AG and Managing Director of Babelsberg Film, has an impressive track record in the industry. Having acquired Studio Babelsberg in 2004 alongside CEO Charlie Woebcken, Fisser has co-produced numerous German and international films. Notable credits include »Inglourious Basterds«, »The Ghost Writer«, »The Hunger Games«, »Matrix 4«, »Uncharted« and many more. Now, in the name of the newly founded »Traumfabrik Babelsberg« Christoph Fisser, along with Fruner and Mayer, is poised to create cinematic magic that pushes boundaries and captivates audiences globally.

Sebastian Fruner, a master’s graduate from the Pop-Academy in film and creative industries, boasts an impressive film career. His notable works include »Almania«, the second most successful series on Germany’s ARD, and »Dreamfactory« (Traumfabrik), an award-winning global success sold in over 60 countries, including the US, China, and Korea. Another of Sebastian’s notable achievements was producing »Unsere Zeit ist jetzt« together with eminent producer and actor Til Schweiger, Bali-based music superstar CRO and Warner Bros. Sebastian’s contributions span projects like »MTV Unplugged: CRO«, Helene Fischer’s »See You Again«, »Dream Novel«, »SWEAT« and significant roles at Studio Babelsberg and Million Pictures. Sebastian Fruner continues to create with expertise, an unwavering commitment to quality and innovation in filmmaking.

Konstantin Mayer

Konstantin Mayer is a producer in both the fictional and non-fictional domains. He studied theater science, philosophy, and NDL (New German Literature) at Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich. From 2007 to 2012, he directed the Kammertheater in Munich and oversaw numerous theater productions. Subsequently, he transitioned to management consulting, where he spent many years assisting large and medium-sized production companies in the fiction and factual genres across various areas. His next logical step was a direct move to a production company, leading him to serve as the Head of Strategy at Schwarzbild Medienproduktion GmbH, specializing in factual TV, corporate content, and new media, while continuing to consult in the fiction domain. Most recently, he held the position of producer and COO at Construction Film Produktion GmbH. There, he was responsible for the film ‘Entführt – 14 Tage überleben,’ directed by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Marc Rothemund, as well as the crime documentary series ‘Lebenslänglich: Erlemann.

Jutta Doberstein

Jutta Doberstein, a freelance author, story developer, and dramaturge for film, TV, and theater, specializes in both fictional formats and the development of documentary content, covering everything in between. From 1998 to 2022, she was responsible for development at zero one film in Berlin. During this time, she worked on films such as ‘More than Honey,’ ‘Gerhard Richter – Painting,’ ‘Miles and War,’ ‘The Guantanamo Trap,’ and ‘Kulenkampffs Schuhe,’ among others. Additionally, she co-directed ‘24h Berlin – Ein Tag im Leben’ and ‘Abenteuer 1927’ (for ARD, Degeto). In her independent work, she managed projects like ‘Electroboy,’ ‘Die Rote Kapelle,’ and ‘Drei Frauen – ein Krieg.’
As an author, she wrote the scenarios for the docu-fiction series ‘Blackout’ (Swiss television). Collaborating with Andres Veiel, she co-created ‘Ökozid’ (NDR, rbb, WDR) and ‘Let them Eat Money’ (Deutsches Theater). Jutta also directed the documentary series ‘Lebenslänglich Erlemann,’ where she worked alongside Konstantin Mayer.

Nancy Block

Nancy Block, born in 1985, has realized an impressive professional biography in the fields of business, finance, tax law, and as a mediator in commercial law. Until 2019, she significantly shaped the foundations for strategic and operational planning and decision-making in renowned tax consulting and auditing firms. She also successfully led a business consultancy in Berlin as its managing director. In 2019, she made her debut as an assistant to the film management in the literary adaptation ‘FABIAN – Der Gang vor die Hunde,’ directed by Dominik Graf. In the same year, she took on her first project as a film manager for the TV film ‘9 Tage wach (AT),’ directed by Damian John Harper, followed by various TV series. Since January 2023, she has been working closely across projects with Sebastian Fruner. The feature film ‘Traumnovelle’ and the TV series ‘Almania,’ both produced by Sebastian Fruner, have been successful outcomes. Nancy’s expertise at Traumfabrik Babelsberg lies in internal and external accounting, controlling, and financial management.
